Diving
and snorkeling in the Similan
Islands with the South Siam
liveaboard offers you a quite
comfortable, but low budget
chance to experience the best
dive sites in Thailand. The
liveaboard stays in the Similan
Islands throughout the high
season, and guests are transferred
daily
by speedboat from Thap Lamu,
close to Khao Lak. You can make
day trips, overnight
tours or stay as
long as you like in the beautiful
Similan Islands National Park.

The
Liveaboard carries a maximum
24 guests in either twin or
quad sharing air conditioned
cabins, with 3 shared bathrooms.
All cabins are serviced every
day whilst you are diving. On
the upper deck is a spacious
outdoor seating area where meals
are served. There is also a
large sundeck upstairs - be
sure to take your sun cream
and drink plenty of water when
you are on the boat. The dive
deck and dive platform have
plenty of space for all divers
to prepare for some great diving.

Unlike
other liveaboards, the
South Siam stays only
in the Similan Islands,
with occasional hops to
Koh Bon if there are manta
rays to be seen. There
are no dives at Koh Tachai,
Surin or Richelieu Rock.
Snorkelers are taken by
dinghy to the best shallow
areas close to the beach
for some fantastic snorkeling
while the liveaboard dives
the best dive spots. You
all meet again for a buffet
lunch on board, and all
have a chance to visit
an island and get a bit
of beach time.
All
trips start early - pick
up time in Phuket between
6 - 6:30am or 8am in Khao
Lak. Guests are transferred
by minibus to the port
of Thap Lamu, about 90
minutes drive from Karon
Beach, or 20 minutes from
Khao Lak, and there transfer
to the speedboat for a
quick 75 minute trip to
the Similan Islands. On
your final day you will
make 3 dives in Similan,
and expect to be back
in Phuket by 7pm.
